From a 1971 promo mailer of THE STRAND BROTHERS

"THE STRAND BROTHERS. . . . recently acclaimed as America's only known "brother trio of Harmonica Artistry" . . . The skillful techniques of pleasing sound reproduction on harmonicas required years of teamwork . . . the three musical brothers, Gerry on bass, Don on rhythm chord, and Frank on lead, started at an early age . . . as perfectionists of tone quality as well as electronic enthusiasts, the three consistantly strive to produce the "big band sound" on harmonicas . . . Today, their introduction of the "Fabulous ELECTROMONICAS" has proved their ability to magnify the artistry of their instruments . . . On past nationwide tours they appeared with such greats as Ray Anthony, in concert with Gordon McRae and many others . . . They have appeared in the finest Theaters, Nightclubs and Television Shows . . . Hollywood's KTLA-TV booked them for 22 consecutive weeks . . . whether it be Carnegie Hall or a company banquet, their program is highlighted by clever humor, audience participation and professional showmanship . . . and of course the exciting musical sounds of the STRAND BROTHERS."

Point of info: The brothers' family name, STRNAD, was often misspelled and mispronounced by their adoring fans, so their stage name became STRAND.
