
Reggie Cross worked at the WLS radio station in Chicago, Illinois in 1938. WLS was referred to as the Prairie Farmer Station. Reggie worked with Howard Black, and they called the act "The Hoosier Sod Busters". Howard played guitar and Reggie played the harmonica. For the most part they played country tunes and polkas.Howard's untimely death in 1940 resulted in Reggie forming a Trio which was named Reggie Cross and His Harmoniers. |
